Claudia
Aronow was
born
in 1952,
in Elizabeth,
New
Jersey.
She
was
raised
in Coral
Gables,
Florida
and
came
to New
York
in 1969
to study
Art
History
at NYU’s
Washington
Square
College.
Since
then
she has
studied
drawing,
painting,
photography
and
book
arts
at various
schools
including
The
National Academy,
The Sculpture
Center,
Maine
Photographic
Workshops,
The
Center
for
Book Arts,
and
Parsons School
of
Design.
In 1998
she
chose
to focus
on
painting,
and
in 2000
her
paintings
transitioned
from
representational
to non‐objective.
She currently
resides
and
works
in New
York
City.
